Pastors and Leaders’ Retreat Green Lake 2018

You are invited to join us this year at Green Lake Conference Center, Nov. 6-8, 2018.

As a Regional Team, we want to provide opportunities for you to gather with other Vineyard Pastors and Leaders to focus on ways that we can become healthier, better equipped for ministry, and more deeply focused on the kingdom work that Jesus has called you to. Over the years, Green Lake has become one of our favorite times to do that.

We will spend time worshipping, leaning into personal soul care, and cultivating relationship with one another. We welcome all Pastors and Leaders throughout the Midwest North Region, including our Spanish Speaking Pastors and Leaders.

Green Lake Convention Center, Green Lake, WI

About Soul Care Options

This year we will be offering a several of individual soul care appointments and large group break out sessions.
When you register, you will be prompted to sign up for an individual soul care appointment. You will be free to attend the large group break out sessions as your schedule allows.

We encourage you to drop into any of the large group breakout sessions as your schedule allows.

Large Group Breakout Sessions:

Discovery Bible Study Training
Facilitator: Brian Brinkert
We have been using DBS as a tool in Jr. High, Senior High, and adult small groups for over a year. This simple and reproducible tool will help you disciple people by simply using the Bible and a few well framed questions. We are seeing people pray for others, gather people, share the gospel, get baptized, and press into Jesus in ways they would not have done before, just they were led through DBS. It really teaches people to put wheels on their theology and begin to practice it in real life. Come and find out more.

My Church Needs More Resources
Facilitator: Bubba Justice
So often we struggle to have enough money and resources and feel it limits us from being all that we could be or doing everything that God wants us to do in our church. We walk around thinking, “I wish we had more money”, but have no idea how to increase giving. Gather with other Pastors and discover ways to encourage giving, plan for your own financial needs, and ask questions about church finances

Intercession/Prayer
Facilitator: Tom Severson
w/ Claudia Garcia & Ed Loughren
This workshop is designed to help you find tools, inspiration for change, and models for increasing the level of prayer and intercession in your local church. Discover how to create a culture in your church for people to carry the banner of prayer and intercession. See how a house of prayer in your local church can usher in the kingdom of God.

Let’s Multiply Vineyard
Facilitator: Michael Gatlin
Discuss ways to get the ball rolling and keep church planting in the forefront of your leadership development. We have many resources that you can take advantage of that you may not even be aware of. Join in the conversation about reproducing ourselves and spreading the kingdom out into the places that God has called us and where people are waiting for something like the Vineyard church that we all know and love so much.

La Vina’s that Thrive
Facilitator: Phil Strout
w/ Homero Garcia
We have been growing and Spanish speaking church’s are popping up all over the region! We will come together to hear from our National Director and find answers to help us thrive even more. This will be an encouragement to every pastor and leader who is doing the work of reaching Hispanic people and building Vineyard communities that carry our DNA of worship, healing, outreach, evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development.

Fundamentals of Leadership
Facilitator: Dave Frederick
As we lean into one of our primary practices of developing leaders, we can always find new ways to identify and train people in their leadership. You can keep growing as a leader yourself and also in your ability to raise up and reproduce leaders of all ages, gender, and diversity. Learn how to come along side those people that God has put on your doorstep that are called and gifted, to serve as leaders, in the kingdom of God.

Vineyard Kids
Facilitator: Janice Ornquist
As a Senior Pastor of her church, Janice was left in a situation where she needed to step into the children’s ministry for several years. Come and hear the story of how God surprised her along her journey of developing a whole new children’s ministry, raising up new kids pastors, and ministering to families. Connect with others who are faithfully serving children and families in local Vineyard’s across our region.

Holy Spirit in the Local Church
Facilitator: Brenda Gatlin
If the Holy Spirit is present in your church, you can’t keep people away. What does it take to create a culture for Holy Spirit filled worship, preaching, and ministry time? Learn how to create a safe space where people can come and experience the Holy Spirit. Discuss ways to teach the church how to receive the Holy Spirit, not only have a theology for it, but daily practices to encourage life in the Spirit.
